The Governor's Office of Energy Policy recommends before considering a renewable energy project, make sure your business is energy efficient. Check with your local utility, as they sometimes offer incentives for energy-efficiency and renewable energy projects. Also, there are state and federal incentives you may want to think about. If so, it's a good idea to check with your accountant if tax credits are part of your decision to make your purchase more affordable.
